Ill share with ye the best straight on shot i think ive ever taken. usually i always get em lopsided. This, to my eyes, is nearly perfect. i did a little curves and contrast in gimp to bring a different effect. But i put the original after the jump, so tell me which is better.
.
original.
Which does oppo like more?

I like the edited version except for the fact that the guy in the background looks weird. Small detail though.

It's not too much to make it really tacky, but your edit is just enough to bring out the image just a bit more. Love the shot too.

Im sure i could fix that if i knew how to use multiple layers or selective editing in gimp, but im not quite there yet. I do see what you mean tho

luckily it being a white car helped this shot. Since its almost too dark, but the white car was kinda over exposed, slightly, so it offset it. And i got rid of the hazey feel.

Rather picky in your old age, aren't you. give me the basics and I will like them just as much.

Ah, curves are one of the best tools in GIMP ever. I'd use it for everything that was under or over exposed (that is to say, a lot of my shots) and I found to be nice with the edits.

who you calling old buddy!
and its fun to go back to some originals and mess around and tweak them to see what else you can get from a shot.

yep. This feature alone makes this program worth it. Forget that its pretty much the only thing i know how to use, thats irrelevant.
